Maintenance and Lifespan

Proper maintenance is essential for extending the life of an engine. This includes regular oil changes, checking coolant levels, replacing air filters, and addressing any unusual sounds or vibrations. Most modern engines can last over 150,000 miles (240,000 km) with proper care.

Ignoring routine maintenance can lead to severe engine damage and costly repairs. Engine failure is one of the most expensive issues a car owner can face, making prevention through regular service crucial.
